Is Automatic Climate Control Better Than Manual A/C?

How does automatic climate control work?
It wouldn’t make sense to live in Tampa, FL if you don’t enjoy the sun, but does anybody love the feeling of getting into a hot car? We don’t think so. It’s safe to say that most locals couldn’t live without air conditioning, but at the same time a comfortable temperature can be argued over as much as what to put on the radio. Today we’re looking at automatic climate control, both how it works and its benefits over your standard, manual A/C.

Dual-zone, automatic and other A/C questions
It may be a small innovation, but we know it’s one that many families are happy to have: dual-zone climate control. For decades, A/C was controlled with one knob, and it’s driver’s choice. For passengers, this could be an issue. Drivers who run hot? Well, the passenger might need to bring a sweater, even when it’s 90 degrees outside. On the flip side, you might not get cool enough. Dual-zone climate control, or three-zone in larger vehicles, solves this problem by giving two a/c knobs that separately allow the driver and passenger to control the temperature coming from their own vents. In the case of three-zone climate control, a knob in the rear allows for control for rear passengers as well.

So what’s the difference between manual and Climatronic automatic air conditioning? A manual air conditioning system stays on at the cooling and blower setting you select and keeps on blowing at that pace until you switch it lower. Climatronic, on the other hand, automatically keeps your vehicle at a specific temperature you select. Say you prefer it to be 73 degrees in your vehicle? Sensors regulate the temperature and automatically adjust blower speed and air distribution to keep it there.
