2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI Trims
Just a few short years ago, the Golf GTI had different options for a boosted engine. Now, the model comes standard with the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Horsepower has received a 10-hp boost to 220, making the model better than ever. Aside from the new People First Warranty and addition of the start-stop system on DSG-equipped models, other changes to the 2018 Golf GTI are primarily seen through additional fresh features on higher trims. Here’s what you need to know.

2018 VW Golf GTI S, SE and Autobahn
The trim hierarchy for the 2018 VW Golf GTI has been slimmed down to just three options, the S, SE and Autobahn. The vehicle is no longer offered in two-door variations, which simplifies things even further.

Standard features found in the S trim include:

LED DRLs and taillights
Rearview camera
Driving Mode Selection
5-inch touchscreen infotainment
Cruise control
Power windows and locks
Manual air conditioning
Clark Plaid cloth seating
LED foglights
Heated front seats
Standard features in the SE include:

LED headlights
Adaptive Front Lighting System
Torque-sensing limited-slip VAQ differential
Sunroof
Forward Collision Warning
Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian monitoring
Keyless access w/push-button start
8-inch touchscreen
Standard features in the Autobahn include:

Fender Audio
Park Distance Control
Parking Steering Assistant
Lane Departure Warning
High Beam Control
Navigation
Dual-zone climate control
Adaptive cruise control

Keep in mind that trims build upon the features of the ones before them. That said, the SE includes all the features of the S or upgrades them. Likewise, the Autobahn has the same or better features than the SE.

All models also benefit from the new Volkswagen People First Warranty, which offers six years or 72,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage against manufacturer defects.
